I am Sonia, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Newcastle, UK.
I have a strong scientific background (a PhD in cancer biology and post-doc research experience in both public and private sectors), but I have always had a creative mind.
During the years in science, I have brought forward my artistic side through many ways, from personal projects to occasional commissions, until I finally decided to become a full-time creative at the beginning of 2025.
My work is primarily focused on collaborating with scientific realities, where I can use my expertise in the field to deliver accurate, yet engaging visuals.
